At present there is NO permanent safe home for abused women and/or their children or children who are molested. Physical abuse of women & children is in >90% of the cases the consequence of alcohol - and/or drug abuse. On a number of occasions "Indawo Yosizo" has been contacted late at night (or early morning) by the SAPS asking if we have place for an abused woman/family. It is our intention to make part of the centre for the addicted (or separate building if we have the funds) a place of safety for overnight accommodation for the abused Women in future. If funding is available this could expand to a Rape Crisis Centre.

We are fortunate to have the use of a safe and secure hostel at a school in Heidelberg to be used as a PLACE of SAFETY. We need urgent funds to renovate the building and create a tranquil environment for abused and traumatised women and/or their children. No unauthorized person will be allowed to come close to the hostel or enter the building.
